Drupada grieves over his brother Satyajit's death at the hands of Drona. On hearing Ashwathama's uproarious laughter, all the bottled up emotions in him soar high. Drupada's life mission has been to kill Drona. He is now defiant, bitter and sarcastic. He berates the Pandavas; he regrets being on the side of Pandavas in a war where they loved their adversaries like Drona and Bhishma and would never think of killing them.
