Arjuna Obtains Pashupatastra From Lord Shiva And Karna Seeks Brahmastra From sage Parasurama : Episode 94

Shakuni and Dushshasana incite Mookasura and tells him that Arjuna is in meditation on Indrakeel mountains at Kailasa. Mookasura assumes the form of a wild boar and charges at Arjuna. Before Arjuna aims a deadly arrow, another arrow from a hunter pierces the boar and kills it. Arjuna feels it is his arrow which had killed the boar, but the hunter claims otherwise. A fight ensues between the hunter and Arjuna, and the hunter overpowers Arjuna in archery and in wrestling. Arjuna realizes that the hunter is not a mere mortal and asks hims who he is. The hunter, who is Lord Shiva, reveals his true form and blesses him. He gives Pashupatastra to Arjuna and tells him he has a mission to accomplish. He calls Indra to take Ajuna to heaven, give him his special weapon Vajrayudha and instruct other gods to provide similar weapons to Arjuna.

A spy tells Duryodhana and Shakuni about Arjuna receiving divine weapons from Shiva, Indra, Varuna and other gods. Shakuni tells Karna that only he is equal in valour to Arjuna, but Arjuna's getting the Pashupatastra has changed the equation in Arjuna's favor. Since Drona and Bhishma who know Brahmastra would not teach Karna, Karna has to learn it from Sage Parasurama by pretending to be a Brahmin, as Sage Parashurama would never agree to teach a kshatriya. Karna is reluctant to do so but agrees to do so for Duryodhana's sake.

Indra takes Arjuna to his palace where his lieutenant Chitrasena welcomes him. The celestial dancer Urvashi doesn't participate in the welcome and when asked by Indra the reason, she replies that she thinks Arjuna to be an ordinary human, much below the status of devas. Indra tells her that Arjuna is the incarnation of Nara and has always been the constant companion of Narayana. Urvashi apologizes for her lapse. She starts developing a secret love for Arjuna.

Drishtadyumna tells Drupada that he could not find Shikhandi at Gandipavana where the spies had reportedly seen her. Drupada is worried that on the ensuing New-moon day, the ultimatum for the return of Shikhandi given by Hiranyavarman (father of Shikhandi's wife) would end. Sage Narada had told Hiranyavarman to prove that Shikhandi is indeed a woman, but since Shikhandi has run away, this couldn't be done. Drupada wants to end his life but Shikhandi appears before them and tells them how he received masculinity from a Yaksha. Drupada and his wife Prishata are overjoyed.

Karna prays to Sun god to make his kavacha kundala appear or vanish at will. The Sun god grants him so. Karna dresses himself as a Brahmin and appears before Sage Parasurama who remarks that he looks like a kshatriya.
