Duryodhana Gloats Over Finding The Pandavas Before The End of Incognito Exile : Episode 113

Recap of Previous Episode :

Virata faces a two-sided assault from Susharma and the Kauravas. Brihannala reveals himself as Arjuna and defeats the Kaurava army with Uttara. The palace rejoices in victory, but Arjuna’s true identity remains unannounced until the next day.

Arjuna Narrates the Battle to His Brothers

At their secret nightly meeting, Arjuna recounts the events of the battle with Duryodhana and the Kaurava army. He describes how he takes Prince Uttara to the vanni tree where the Pandavas had earlier hidden their divine weapons. Revealing himself to be Arjuna, he takes up the Gandiva bow, and Brihannala transforms into the mighty warrior the world knows.

Arjuna says that when he aimed the Gandiva at Bhishma, the arrow bent in reverence before the grandsire. Seeing this extraordinary sight, Duryodhana grows suspicious and declares that Brihannala must be Arjuna. Arjuna neither confirms nor denies it, instead challenging him to fight. Arjuna releases the Mohini Astra, which casts deep stupor upon the Kaurava army. When they awaken, they find their ornaments missing—stripped by Arjuna as a mark of humiliation. Ashamed, Duryodhana, Karna, Dushshasana, Bhishma, and Drona retreat silently. Shakuni, however, convinces Duryodhana to rejoice — not in victory, but in the belief that the Pandavas have been exposed before the incognito period ended.

Virata Recognizes the Pandavas

Uttara promises Arjuna that he will reveal the truth only the next day. At the court, Uttara introduces Kanka, Ballava, Brihannala, Granthika, Tantipala and Sairandhri as none other than the Pandavas and Draupadi.

The king and queen are overwhelmed with joy and apologize for having treated noble warriors as servants. Yudhishtra expresses gratitude for their hospitality and protection. King Virata proposes his daughter Uttara in marriage to Arjuna, but Arjuna declines gently, saying that as her teacher he is like a father to her. Instead, he offers Uttara as the bride for his son Abhimanyu, and Virata gladly agrees.

Kauravas Plot to Prove the Pandavas’ Failure

In Hastinapur, Duryodhana fumes over the defeat. Karna wants to attack again, but Shakuni stops him. According to Shakuni’s calculations, the Pandavas were detected one day too early, and if this can be proven publicly, the Pandavas must return to exile for another twelve years.

They decide to seek the support of a respected elder well-versed in astrology who can justify their argument. They summon Somadatta, who arrives with his son Bhurisravas. Somadatta explains that measured according to chandramana (lunar calendar), the incognito year has ended, but by sauramana (solar calendar), it has not. Shakuni is thrilled, hoping this ambiguity will force the Pandavas back into the forest.

Radha Demonstrates the Power of Pure Devotion

Meanwhile in Dwaraka, Radha arrives at Krishna’s request. Rukmini and Satyabhama watch as Radha places two Tulsi leaves on the weighing scale. The scale tips fully in her favour, although mountains of gold and jewels failed to move it.

Radha explains gently that wealth is heavy with ego, but the Tulsi leaf carries love without pride—and Krishna is moved only by pure devotion.

Later, Rukmini notices burns on Krishna’s feet. Krishna tells her they came when Radha drank boiling milk given to her in a moment of jealousy; because Radha holds Krishna in her heart, the pain reached His feet. Rukmini understands the magnitude of Radha’s love and vows never again to question Krishna’s affection for anyone.

Kunti Receives Troubling News

In Hastinapur, Kunti rejoices that her sons have completed the incognito period successfully. Vidura warns her that Duryodhana has already sent a message saying that the Pandavas were discovered before time and must return to exile. Kunti’s anxiety grows—she knows another storm is approaching.
