Keechaka's Brothers Want To Burn Draupadi Along With Keechaka's Corpse : Episode 111

Recap of Previous Episode :

Krishna and Satyabhama bring the Parijata tree from heaven. In Virata’s palace, Keechaka threatens Draupadi with exposure. Following Bhima’s plan, Draupadi lures Keechaka to the dance hall, where Bhima confronts and kills him. Meanwhile, Duryodhana continues searching for the Pandavas, suspecting they are still in Virata’s kingdom.

Keechaka’s Body Is Found

After killing Keechaka, Bhima and Draupadi quietly leave the dance hall. At dawn, a maid enters the hall and lets out a horrified scream—the body of Keechaka lies crushed and mangled in the centre of the room.

The palace guards, courtiers and common people rush in, and the news spreads like wildfire.

Keechaka’s Brothers Seek Revenge

Keechaka’s brothers recall Draupadi’s desperate plea for help and her warning that her Gandharva husbands would destroy Keechaka if he touched her again. Convinced that only a mighty unseen warrior could have killed their invincible brother, they drag Draupadi violently, declaring that they will burn her alive along with Keechaka on the funeral pyre.

Draupadi protests that only a wife is bound to share a pyre, but her cries are ignored. The Pandavas, maintaining their disguises, must stand silent. Just when she is about to be thrown into the flames, a veiled Bhima appears, a terrifying force of fury. He kills all of Keechaka’s hundred brothers single-handedly, turning the scene into a battlefield drenched in fear.

Sudeshna Becomes Terrified

The sudden and mysterious death of Keechaka and his brothers terrifies Queen Sudeshna. She fears that Draupadi’s invisible protectors are extremely powerful.

Draupadi begs her to let her remain quietly for just a few more weeks, promising that she will leave voluntarily once the time comes. Sudeshna, trembling, agrees.

News Reaches Hastinapura

The news of Keechaka’s destruction reaches Duryodhana and Shakuni.

Shakuni reasons that the only person capable of such strength is Bhima, proving that the Pandavas are hiding inside Virata’s kingdom. He proposes a plan: if they launch a war against Virata, the Pandavas will be forced to reveal themselves by defending their hosts.

Shakuni suggests forming an alliance with King Susharma of Trigarta, repeatedly defeated by Keechaka and eager for revenge. They decide to seek Dhritarashtra’s approval the next morning.

Trigarta King Requests Support

Before they can even approach him, King Susharma arrives at Hastinapura, requesting the Kauravas’ support to invade Virata.

Bhishma and Vidura oppose the plan, insisting that Virata is their ally and must not be attacked. This ignites yet another bitter confrontation between Bhishma and Vidura versus Karna and Duryodhana, exposing the widening rift among the Kuru elders.
