Recap of the Previous Episode : Shakuni warns Duryodhana not to push Bhishma too far. On the fourth day, Bhima kills eight Kaurava princes and grief fills Hastinapura. Duryodhana rages at Bhishma while Karna feels helpless. On the fifth day, Makara Vyuha clashes with Syena Vyuha, and Bhurisravas kills ten sons of Satyaki, driving Duryodhana to mock Bhishma openly. Duryodhana’s Anger Against Bhishma Duryodhana praises the valor of Shalya, Bhurisravas and Somadatta, but his words are laced with scorn as he looks directly at Bhishma. He tells Bhishma to learn ‘true loyalty’ from them. Bhishma remains composed, explaining that he has been battling relentlessly across the breadth of the field. His words do not soften the bitterness in Duryodhana, who finds it intolerable that Bhishma has vowed not to kill the Pandavas. He is also frustrated that Bhishma’s presence prevents Karna from entering the war. Drona and Bhishma Speak in Private Later, in solitude, Drona visits Bhishma. H...

Arjuna devastates the Kaurava forces, Shikhandi confronts Bhishma but is refused battle, and Abhimanyu challenges Dushasana. Vidura’s absence is deeply felt, and Karna mourns his inability to fight. Shakuni Warns Duryodhana Dushasana criticizes Duryodhana for speaking disrespectfully to Bhishma. Disturbed, Duryodhana turns to Shakuni for advice. Shakuni agrees partially — challenging Bhishma can indeed push him to fight harder, but if Duryodhana crosses the limit, Bhishma may turn his fury against him. Duryodhana suggests bringing Karna into command, but Shakuni dismisses the idea. He reminds him that Bhishma will withdraw if Karna enters the battlefield, and if Bhishma leaves, many allied kings — who came out of respect or fear of Bhishma — will abandon the Kauravas. Duryodhana is frustrated, but Shakuni says cryptically ...

Duryodhana Questions Bhishma Duryodhana privately expresses doubt about whether Bhishma is truly exerting his full strength against the Pandavas. Bhishma’s stern silence forces Duryodhana to realize his mistake, and he apologizes quickly, ashamed of having questioned the grandsire’s loyalty and valor. Pandava Strategy Meeting The Pandavas meet with Krishna and Drishtadyumna in anxious discussion. Yudhishtra is troubled—the first two days of war have cost the Pandavas heavy losses. Drishtadyumna explains that the imbalance between the armies is vast: the Pandavas have 7 akshauhinis (1,530,900 warriors), while the Kauravas command 11 aksha...

Yet from the reports, it appears the Kauravas are leading. The sun sets, and both armies withdraw from Kurukshetra to rest. Duryodhana Praises Bhishma Duryodhana is jubilant after witnessing Bhishma’s fierce performance on the first day. He showers Bhishma and Shalya with praise, but Bhishma remains unaffected.
