Recap of Previous Episode :
Dhritarashtra finalises the unjust division of the kingdom, leaving Vidura and Bhishma helpless. Kunti guides the Pandavas to accept the decision with dignity, a surrender that shakes Bhishma deeply. Arjuna requests Yudhishtra’s coronation before they depart, and Bhishma agrees. Kunti shares her spiritual reasoning with Vidura, who honours her wisdom. Krishna reveals the deeper truth of his service to Balarama. Meanwhile, Shakuni continues to harden Dhritarashtra’s heart, pushing him further into decisive hostility.Subhadra’s Worry and Krishna’s Assurance
Subhadra and Rukmini sit with a soothsayer who predicts that Subhadra will give birth to a world-renowned warrior. But Subhadra is anxious about something far more immediate — Balarama’s intention to seek Duryodhana as her groom.
The soothsayer then adds a strange prediction: Subhadra will marry an old man who is also a sanyasi. Disturbed, she turns to Krishna. As always, he offers soothing but mysterious reassurance, urging her to trust that everything will unfold as it should.
Dhritarashtra Confesses His Helplessness
The Pandavas and Kunti meet Dhritarashtra. Tearfully, he admits that Yudhishtra is the rightful heir to Hastinapura, yet he remains bound by Duryodhana’s blind ambition. He seeks Yudhishtra’s forgiveness and promises the coronation before the Pandavas leave for Khandavaprastha.
In a moment of emotional despair, Dhritarashtra even declares that if Yudhishtra wishes, he and Gandhari will renounce everything and leave the palace.
Shakuni intervenes, but Dhritarashtra angrily dismisses him. Gandhari gently requests Kunti to advise her son, and Yudhishtra finally agrees to the coronation.
Duryodhana’s Futile Defiance
Duryodhana refuses to accept the decision. Furious at the idea of parting with Khandavaprastha, he confronts his father. But Dhritarashtra, for the first time, stands firm. He informs his son that Sage Vyasa himself will preside over the ceremony and declares that if the coronation is stopped, he will end his own life.
Parting from the Elders
Kunti admits her sadness at leaving Bhishma, Vidura, and Drona. Draupadi requests Bhishma to accompany them, but he refuses — his oath binds him to Hastinapura.
Vidura, too, declines. He reminds them of the promise he made to Pandu: to remain by Dhritarashtra’s side and guide him in righteousness.
Drona also reaffirms his loyalty to Dhritarashtra, who supported him during his days of extreme poverty. Kripi and Ashwathama urge him to reconsider for his safety, since staying near the Kauravas may put him at odds with Drupada. But Drona rebukes them for suggesting fear as a reason to abandon duty.
Vidura Stands Firm Against Taunts
Duryodhana, Dushasana, and Shakuni attempt to drive Vidura out of Hastinapura, taunting him for supporting the Pandavas. Vidura remains unshaken. His promise and his principles do not waver.
